about Remember-Ring

My story

My beloved dog and best friend passed away 13 years ago. I wanted to keep him close to my heart and so began looking at ways to do this. I couldn’t find a memorial ring design with ashes in that I liked so I started creating my own. I wanted a way to have my best friend with me wherever I went. I have also made memorial rings with human ashes.

My background

I come from an artistic family. My mother is a seamstress, my sister is a stone mason and my grandmother was a talented oil painter.

From an early age I realised that I also had a talent – that of creating things with metal and working with my hands. At school I excelled in metalwork class. After leaving school I went to college where I became proficient in working with sheet metal and gained qualifications in welding and fabrication. I then spent two further years at college and gained a National Diploma in metalsmithing, giving me an understanding of working with different metals. I subsequently spent three years honing my skills working as a metalsmith in a 250-year-old haunted forge.

Because my rings are bespoke and there are many options in terms of the ring base and inlay materials I will, where possible, meet with you to discuss making your perfect ring.

I can put anything in your ring. If you have something that reminds you of a favourite holiday, person, animal, or even a motor vehicle I can put that into your ring too.
